SINOVO investigates digital self-management for diabetes with BMG
Jan Filip, Managing Director of SINOVO health solutions GmbH, was interviewed about his involvement and participation in the ‘Zukunftsregion Digitale Gesundheit’ initiative of the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG). With its diabetes management software SiDiary, SINOVO was involved in testing apps and software for the self-management of diabetes mellitus in the everyday practice of patients and doctors.
Three questions for Mr Filip
- How exactly does your digital application support doctors. And how does it help patients or their relatives?
- What was the biggest incentive for you to take part in the tests by the Federal Ministry of Health? What expectations did you have and were they met?
- Which findings from the ZDG were particularly important to you? To what extent have they been incorporated into the further development of the app and to what extent can you use them for your future work?
What motivates doctors and patients to use diabetes management software?
The main incentive for SINOVO to take part in the BMG's tests was to find out how interested and motivated doctors and patients are to use diabetes management software in their treatment. In particular, we wanted to find out the reasons for or against using the software so that we could incorporate the findings into our product - as far as possible.
We received answers to these and other questions, which we were very pleased about. In some cases, we were somewhat surprised by the results.
