Identity Protection

Protection against theft of login data

What is Identity Protection?

Identity protection, which safeguards employee login data (identities) from theft, is more critical than ever. That's because credential attacks are one of the biggest threats to IT security today, as modern hybrid enterprise networks, intranet portals, and internet-based business solutions provide numerous loopholes for hackers.

What is credential theft?

Identity theft here means that a hacker undermines data protection, steals the personal data of your employees and misuses it. With the data, he can do business on the Internet at her expense or appear under her identity for other reasons.

What can be done about it?

How can I easily prevent identity theft?

You ask yourself, "How can I prevent identity theft as easily as possible?"

There is no one hundred percent protection against identity theft. However, you can make it harder for hackers to get hold of your employees' personal information. The more effort the hacker has to get hold of the data, the higher the chance that he will abort the attack.

Identity protection detects and mitigates suspicious actions involving user credentials, providing proactive credential security.

While securing programs and networks is essential, the human factor remains a critical vulnerability in IT security. This is the human factor. User Identity & Access Management secures you at all levels. In addition to introducing the Identity Protection solution, we analyze your existing infrastructure to ensure quick and easy integration – whether on-premise or in the cloud.

Our team advises you and your employees on setting up the solution, provides support and implements wishes, suggestions for improvement and new features quickly and tailor-made. Our security and network experts, and software developers can provide you with individual support at all levels.

With the introduction of Identity Protection, we turn your employees into the strongest defense in just 2 steps

Introduction of Identity Protection in just 2 steps

Our team streamlines the introduction of Identity Protection into a simple, two-step process. We use Microsoft's standard "Identity Protection" solution as a basis, which integrates seamlessly into your Microsoft infrastructure. With this solution, we identify, prioritize, and address identity-based risks to detect threats in a timely manner and protect your employees. We do this with a high degree of automation to take adequate measures for you very quickly if necessary.

The use of Microsoft's user management Active Directory is not a prerequisite for using "Identity Protection". There are options for connecting to other security information and event management systems.

As a result of a risk analysis, we make the following initial configurations:

  • Configuring Identity Protection in Azure AD
  • Setting up a dashboard
  • Setting up the alerts

We then continuously take over the ongoing support and monitor whether attacks on your employees' login data or other risks are carried out:

Risk identification and treatment:

  • Use of anonymous IP addresses
  • Unusual change of location
  • IP address associated with malware
  • Unusual login properties
  • Compromised credentials
  • Password spray

Monthly risk assessment reports:

We can provide you with important monthly reports to document and archive the risk assessment. The reports can also be used for further investigations and correlation steps and exported to other tools (e.g. security information and event management) for further processing. Reports include, for example:

  • Risky users
  • Risky logins
  • Risk detection

Activity monitoring/risk prioritization:

One-time unusual login properties of one user may not be as risky as compromised credentials of another user.

Therefore, incidents are prioritized differently depending on the risk assessment and help you and us to react quickly and in a focused manner to critical situations and initiate countermeasures.

  • Security alerts in three levels: low, medium and high

What are the benefits of the Credential Protection solution?

You can read about the advantages of the solution for protecting credentials in this overview.

  • Certified, security-vetted specialists dedicated to safeguarding your employees’ accounts as a reliable and trusted partner.
  • Experience in the implementation of Identity Protection: We have built up our knowledge of IT security over almost 2 decades in the banking, logistics and medical software sectors.
  • High service quality as a certified Microsoft partner in the cloud sector, quality management systems according to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, and ISO 27001 for information security management systems.

Background information: How do hackers gain access?

Hackers gain initial access via stolen user accounts, among other things.

Moreover, they gain access into a company's IT infrastructure via the following:

  • SaaS-Apps (Software as a Service-Apps),
  • IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) in the Public Cloud,
  • compromised Virtual Private Network (VPN),
  • or Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) connections.

Hackers can then continue their access from one machine to the next via compromised credentials and penetrate other systems.
